Need help changing my head lamp

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I cannot get the bulb free from the casing. I have the first cap screwed off and I can see the bulb but can't get it out. Don't want to break it. Do I have to un-attach the wires first? That shouldn't make a difference.

    Any help would be nice.

RE: Need help changing my head lamp

Welcome to the forum! I personally still have the OEM bulbs in place at 56k miles (have had two replacements in my glovebox for three years) but someone here has surely replaced them by now...

Ok when you remove the cap, you will see that here is a latch holding the bulb in place. To put this lightly...it's a bitch to undue on both sides. so heres a step by step
    1.undo cover
    2. undo latch holding in bulb
    3.bulb comes out
    4. unplug from connector
    5. plug in new bulb

This process is essentially the same for installing hid's but instead of plugging the buld directly into connectors you would use the two relay tab on the hid buld then set up the kit accordingly..they are pretty idiot proof. If you have any trouble call me..do some digging..my numbers on this forum
