Red face RE: Azera on 20's! Too much?

Hey what about these wheels? Truthfully the OZ's are really pricey but even though they have that "DUB" look it's not over powering. And the second are amazingly priced 20" rims from Tire Rack the gentleman I talked to said our car would fit them. Just need to buy low-pro tires which can get pricey...

** Second ones almost have that mean performance / clean look...

    Cheers,

I purchased a set of original rims in Chrome.Â*Â*What do you think?Â*Â*I change them during the winter season here in New England.

THOSE ARE AWESOME! Where did you get them!?!?
You know it's amazing how you can add something so simple yet make such a huge difference... Guess you should send your car photos to Hyundai and see what responce you get! HECK park it ourside of the local Hyundai Dealership see what customers say about it... Since you cannot get the chrome factory (lame)!

Good job on keeping it simple / elegant JOE!!

Thanks Jim, believe or not I purchased these rims on eBay.Â*Â*It was a Chroming Co. from CA.Â*Â*They had a trade in price.Â*Â*You purchase the chrome rims and send back your original rims.Â*Â*I called the Co. and purchased them outright so that I could keep my original rims for the winter months. Here is a shot of the full car, notice the No H Grill.Â*Â*JoeD

Joe I hate to say this really... But I am so jealous of your grill and everyone who has them! My wife opted to get the Steel Gray color and they don't make anything cool for that color! I have went on all the Korean after market sites and OEM site and noticing that color is a lost cause... I really want the Stubie wing... You got it, they don't make it in that color!

Great job on the paint also. I have learned a ton of things through another site called Autopia. They have a great forum full of professional detailer networks...

If anyone knows of a site with Steel Gray parts let me know ASAP... I am dieing here...

    Cool Azera on 20's? Pictures.

There is a fellow in the D C area that runs 20 inch wheels on his '06 Black LTD.

Goes by allmet33 over on that 'other' forum.

They are not horrible looking at all...
But I will say they make the car look "generic," in a way that doesn't give it that, "wow what kind of car is that, man its sharp looking!" So many people slap on wheels for the size and forget to step back and see if they accent the style or really make the car 'pop.' Being unique & have your own style is awesome no doubt, but I don't think 20" rims would not cut it for me.

Another thing you will need to consider is lowering the car reducing the wheel gap which you see more with 20" rims. You might even have an issue lowering with such a tall rim. Double check the offset with the rim shop or rim manufacture. But don't jump to spacers so you can lower the car.......

Personally if I were to do any suspension mods I will add either struts simple KYB (if they have them) & Eibach Springs, or go all the way to full Coil Over suspension which are available but pricier, and really do make the car look very slick.

This link will show you what Street Concepts did to a Azera. I am not a fan of the color combos, otherwise like the tinted lamps and blacked out front headlamp internals.

Just my $.02 on this topic...

I'd agree, the 20" wheels tend to attract the attention away from the car, something not needed with the Azzy...
