2013 Driver Seat will not always slide back when opening the door

The driver seat is does not always automatically slide back after turning off the engine and then opening the driver door. I have waited about 20 seconds before opening the door. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not work. This has started to become an issue withing the last few months on my 2013 Azera.

It turns out that the the battery was bad. After installing a new battery the seat operation was close to normal.
There must be a timing sequence from the turn off of the engine to when the driver's door is opened.
If the turn off to opening the driver's door is fast (a couple of seconds) the seat will not move back right away
5 to 10 seconds seems to be the timing window for operation.
I can take 10 seconds of more to finally move back or it may move back the next time the driver's door is opened.

It sounds like the seat motor for that function may have a slightly corroded power connection at one end of the cable, which would be more likely to cause a problem with an older battery that puts out a lesser voltage.
