Anyone had a chance to drive the 2011 Sonata and/or Azera. I read in one review that the Sonata's ride would make all complaints about the Azera's ride mild by comparison. But then I read another review that says the Sonata for 2011 ride is both quiet in the cabin and very smooth and compliant. What the heck is going on there. Both these reviews can't be accurate?
Cheers.
Overall, I like the car. Seats are more comfortable than my Azera (too hard). The high seat position has eliminated the leg pain I experienced in the Azera. The car is quiter. It gets better milage. I like the Cruise control lay out better. The dealer service is far superior. The price was great.
All that said, test driving this car will do you no good because the way it rides new is not the way it rides after 5000 miles. This is the damest thing I have ever heard of.95% of the time the ride is ok but if you drive allot over over passes, elevated roads or bridges you will be annoyed by the float and will be forced to drive no faster than 60 to keep control of the car.I can live with it if it does not get any worse.
I would look at other cars if I were in the market now but I really don't know what could comapre. I hate small cars and anything big is too expensive.I bought the car to reduce my costs so I would not consider the Genesis. My brother in law bough one so I will report back on that because he drives allot of miles and will soon be beyond the 5000 mile barrier.
Azera is very attractive with an impressive design, high quality materials for the interior, good overall construction, high fuel economy and performance. It is definitely the premium car there is and affordable as well.
Azera is spacious and luxurious and has plenty of room inside. It has a really good warranty coverage as well.Azera has all the neccessary features any car-lover would love to have and it has many safety features too.
Azera is definitely better than Sonata in my opinion. The model looks very sleek and handsome.
I tested a 2011 Sonata briefly.
Own a 2007 3.5 and a 2007 Azera 3.8.
When I was out shopping, I really liked the handling and the solid seat support of the Mazda-3 .
Don't get me wrong, I like my Hyundais, but I believe the 2011 Sonata moves in the direction (as far as handling is concerned) of the Mazda 3.
