My 2007 Azera Limited is just about ready for new tires. It only has 26,000 miles, but the original Michelins are crap. They are really loud, the wear is awful, and I absolutely hate them and will never buy another Michelin tire in my life.
So I am looking for recommendations for new tires. What do you have on yours? How many miles on them? Where did you get them? How much?

I am on my 2nd set of tires with my 2006 Azera. The stock Michelin's gave me a run until about 58k. I live in Eastern PA, the winters are pretty "interesting" but I felt these tires did me well. I did extensive research on all-season performance tires. Bought me a set of 4 Bridgestone Turanza Serenity for $700 with shipping from Tire Rack. The reviews were good, but I find their performance in snow mediocre, but dry and damp roadways are fine. Stopping is pretty good as well. I drive a lot of miles, so I looked for ones with good durability UTOQ rating of 740 A A, which the 740 means it should last almost twice as long as those rated 400 A A, or 7.4 times as long as ones rated 100 A A, assuming the driving style is the same. 28k miles on these tires in 9 months, but they are doing just fine!

Thanks for the info. I had Bridgestone Potenzas on an older Mazda 626, and they did really well for me, so I was looking at Bridgestone for the Azera. I live in eastern PA as well, in Montgomery County but I travel frequently to Scranton. So I can definately relate to those winters....
My stock Michelins are down to 3/32 tread, after only 26,000 miles. I don't drive the car hard, and they are always properly inflated and rotated every other oil change. I can't believe they wore out this fast...I never had tires wear out this fast before.
As noisy and rough riding as our Azera's Michelins are, it looks like they're also going to hang on for 55-60K miles. It's strange that there is such a difference in the mileage delivered (26K vs. 58K), especially since the vehicles involved are all basically the same!
It will be interesting to hear what the Bridgestones get for Azera-miles. Question for Chris: has the fuel mileage changed measurably, since swapping from the o.e. Michelins to the Bridgestones?
Fuel Mileage has been fairly steady since purchase. I did notice a drop right about the time that I incurred a flat tire (56k). I swapped with the Full Size Michelin Spare, but for some unknown reason, my mpg went down from 28mpg at 75mph to 25.5-26 at 75mph. Since I do mostly highway driving, it has bothered me enough to ask questions, but never get any good answers to the sudden drop. After changing to the Bridgestones at 58k, I still get that 25-26 mpg at 75mph. About 27mpg at 70 mph...I keep PSI between 32 and 34 all-around. Never really had a harsh ride at all with that pressure.
Some sources say that it might be a bad spark plug that could be causing my unknown decrease in MPG. I'll admit I've never really had a full Service done on the car. I've always changed oil every 10k with fully synthetic. Replaced the air filter twice. No mechanical issues at all.
I would say 80% of my driving is highway...so I hope to have these tires for another 30-40k!
JB...Not sure why we do have that much despair between the same stock tires. I'll admit my tires we're basically toast at 58k, but as long as the tires get me through the winter driving, I'll always keep them around the until the next fall at minimum.
As far as noise....I cannot complain with either tire. Maybe it's because I haven't had the privilege of driving many vehicles with different tires. I was riding in an Audi A6 that sounded completely silent inside, but I'm wondering if that was more the build of the car instead of specific tires.
If I read you correctly, you aren't doing (or aren't having done) the regular scheduled service interval stuff, except for oil/air filter change? That's not going to look good if you need warranty work done during the covered period...
Looks like I will only get around 26,000 miles on my "07 Azera michelins. No way they will last 30,000. I am considering Firestone or Michelins for replacements. Not the same model Michelins.

I currently have 44,000+ miles on my OEM Michelins and they're still hanging in with maybe another 10k miles or so left, but I'm developing a list of possible replacements from what I read on the boards for when I DO replace 'em. Two (of several) that have had good owner reviews are the Kumho ECSTA LX and the General Altimax HP...
I actually replaced mine right at 30k with the General Altimax. So far, they are awesome. Much more quiet, excellent wet and dry traction. I would highly recommend them, and for the price, you can't go wrong!! I think I paid about $550 out the door, with lifetime balancing and road hazard warranty. I had the alignment done at Firestone, there were coupons in my local paper for $99 lifetime alignment.
I have also switched to Altimax as I had some problem with the Michelin tire. I think Altimax are much better .I would also like to recommend you this only.
