Hello:
Just picked up my 2006 sterling silver Azera Premium this morning. Only a couple left at this dealer. Traded in my 2006 Altima 3.5 SE with 7500 km.

I'm a senior citizen who loved my previous two Maximas and the Altima was too stiff in comfort, with poor auto shifting. Also, the Nissan dealer gave me a ridiculous trade-in price on a new Altima (this after buying 4 cars from them).

Anyhow, got a fabulous deal at Hyundai and am pleased to this point.

A couple of notes:

- this car has LED taillights
- no flip down outside mirrors when reversing
- trying to figure out the best setup for the cargo net to hold groceries
- got the protection package from Final Coat which includes the Electronic Corrosion Module CM-2000. Anyone have experience with this product?
- size will require getting used to.....even 2-3 inches makes a difference.

I'll have more comments once we have driven it a bit, but for now I must say how rich this Azera looks and feels, especially with the black leather interior.

Stan
Welcome to the forum, and I hope you'll be as satisfied with your Azera as I am with mine... which reflects considerable satisfaction!...
Welcome Stan,
What did you mean by getting used to the size. I would think the Azzy would be roomer than the Altima. Not true?

CDM
Hi CDM:
I just meant that the Azera is about 2.5 inches wider and 1.5 inches longer, so I have to be more careful getting in and out of the garage. Also, parking between the yellow lines on commercial lots is a bit harder. The folding mirrors seem to help reduce the anxiety somewhat.

Stan
It sounds like you're saying that the LED taillights are a negative...

Also I agree the cargo nets is an issue... I find it best if you create an inverted V across the trunk works best for me. stuff fits in front, underneath and behind it in this config...

Welcome...
No, not a negative. I mentioned the LED taillights because I read it was a feature of the 07 Azeras, but this car already had them.

Some features mentioned in the Canadian 2006 Azera owner's manual are questionable...for example, pictures of the steering wheel are of the 2007 with the woodgrain inserts. I.M.S. (Integrated Memory System) is described (if installed), for the seat, pedals and steering wheel....this is not available or mentioned in the 2006 sales brochure.

BTW, the last few times I started the car with only the A/C button on, the wipers do a single sweep of the windshield....strange.

Stan
is your stalk set to auto for the wipers? they will do that if you have them set that way.
Also I believe that with the Ultimate pkg, the "rain-sensing" wipers will do that when the car is started...
i am an azera owner from canada.
canadians buyers don't get technical service bulletin(tsb) like the u.s. buyers
do. i printed out a part replacement page from tsb and showed it to the dealer.
they said this only applies to the u.s. buyers, thus they can't perform the service
which is covered by warranty in the u.s. what a discrimination between canada and the u.s !!! hyundai basically export the same cars to the u.s. and canada and why can't canadian buyers benefit from tsb???
i just don't get it! by the way the website is http://www.hmaservice.com. every azera owner should know about this site especially the tsb.
