I've seen 0-60 for azera from 6.5 seconds to 7.2 seconds.
It's pretty good. This is probably same as, if not quicker, than tiburon automatic, right?
But yea, I know it's not a sports car, I'm just making discussion here.![]()

well they said the sonata was 6.9 when it first came out, now its worked itself up to about 7.5-8.0, so I guess the azera is in the low to mid 7's
Edmunds test drove it and got 0-60 mph time of 7.2 seconds. That's probably the fastest you're gonna get with azera with a professional driver. So I'd say it's about 7.5 secs.
For a car of its size - the Azera has A LOT of power and when driving it I can "feel" the energy it wants to exert
7 seconds is very quick...
The driver can barely feel the speed of the car as it "hugs and craddles" you...
Here's a cheap formula that will give a pretty approximate 0-60 time:
1.776*weight (lbs)/hp*1/final drive ~ 0-60
The 1.776 is a constant, weight (curb weight) given for the Azera is 3629, hp is 263 and the final drive is 3.33.
So, 1.776 * 3629/263 * 1/3.33 = 7.36
My experience is that this formula will provide a conservative number. Hyundai says 6.5 and I've seen 7.2 in publications.
I've not turned the ESC off (and don't know the super secret procedure for completely turning off TSC) and then brake torquing the thing to see just how well it will launch - but then again it's my wife's car and if she even thought I was thinking about this she'd KILL me. ; -)
I had a 1998 Trans am before this car and it doest throw you back in the seat like the TA ( 310hp) but it is respectable and I dont feel like I am gonna be run down by anyone. I have torched a few beamers in this car
0-60= 6.1
1/4 mile= 14.9
car and driver info.
I know someone has a Gtech Meter! Now is the time to show that the formula atr_hugo stated...
The one we just bought feels quicker than 7.5 or 7. It feels very comparable to the 99 Regal GS that I had several years ago and it did about 6.5 so their claims are probably not far off. Haven't timed it yet though, looking to get a Gtech soon.
Welcome to the forum!
Your fastest time through the traps would likely be with using the "manual" shift and then just leaving it alone, as the system won't let you over-rev the engine (it's not THAT manual!) and it will let you get the maximum zoom-zoom benefit from each gear...
