Ipod Hookup to 08 Limited Radio

We just purchased a pre-owned 08 Azera Limited with Ultimate Pkg. with Infinity Radio with 6 dics changer. Is there any way to connect my Ipod to it? I don't see any kind of plug unless it's on the back of the radio and that looks tough to get to.

    Thanks,

    mike

RE: Ipod Hookup to 08 Limited Radio

    Enjoy your new ride!

I don't believe there was such an option until the 2009 model year. Some have used a short-range FM adaptor hook-up, tunable of one of a few different frequencies, that can be used to play an Ipod or the like through your radio, when you tune your radio to the adaptor's output frequency, but some have also said that the sound quality was somewhat lacking, to their ear.

Here is a Radio Shack offering, one of several...

Thanks. I didn't see any exposed plug so I figured it was either on the inaccessible rear of the radio or non-existent. I guess it's non-existent in an 08.

Transmitter may be the way to go.

    Thanks.

In any electronics there so many opinions. I used FM adapter and it tunable with few different frequencies. If you play your radio from adapter 's output frequency. At that time the sound quality was somewhat lacking to ear.

I purchased, at Walmart, a cassette player with a wire attached for the I-pod. Placd the cassette in the tape deck, plug in the wire (supplied) and you then play the I pod thru your radio. Cost about $12.00. Hope this helps.

PS if the cassette automatically goes into reverse or ejects open the cassette and remove the rubber wheel assembly. I did and it worked.
