Thread: how to remove wood trim strip on dash?

Hi,

Just bought an Ipod adapter for my 08 Azie. I've found good instructions for how to pull the radio to get to the connector, BUT the first step is "pry off the wood trim strip across the top of the dash." Sounds pretty scary. Anyone have any experience who can describe exactly how to do this without damaging the dashboard?

i have a body shop and have a huge tub filled with solvent to take adhesive off of bdy side mldgs i am going to let my smaller peices soak in that.... are you going back with anything like alum or titanium look.. i hate the woodgrain as well.

I removed the chrome backing bars so I wouldn't have to work in the car. To do that, you need to remove the glove box and instrument cluster, and remove the nuts holding them on.
