If anyone has, I'd imagine it was done verrrrrrryyyyyy carefully, so as not to cause embarassment re: the steering wheel airbag...![]()
Thats my concern is why I am asking if anyone has been so bold. On another note, I wish this forum had more activity. I am on another one for another vehicle I have and it is huge.
I strongly reccomend that only soft badges , like the links above , be used on the airbag cover . I had some locals try to talk me into making some small metal badges for the wheel . I refused , because of the injury potential from the badge being catapulted into drivers face/neck during airbag deployment
Why do you want to replace the steering wheel badge?
Exactly, I have same question for you that Why you want to remove the steering wheel badge?
My wife wanted the steering wheel badge and we installed it. It is not an OEM item and while it looks good, a very close inspection would show it is an aftermarket item.
I don't know anything about what you can do about the badge, but I do know that you should never go back to that dealer again.
Driving is my steering wheel badge badge to peel off. It could have been honest all my fault since it folded at the center causing the right corner to exit. I took it to the dealer for service and they refused.
Welcome to the forum!...
I have an Accord sedan and 04 as necessary to remove the steering wheel badge a few years ago. From what I remember, there are tabs on the two small aluminium top and bottom edges of the badge, maybe 3 and less than three them. These baskets feet behind the airbag cover to keep the badge in place.
