    Joe,

They look awesome! They really work very well on a balck car. Are these the wheels from ebay that I put on a post a week or so ago?

The shine on your car is really very deep, almost wet looking, nuch like other black cars I have had. I have a ebony black w tan SE Premium and have used the Meguiars 3 step cleaner, polish and carnuba wax on mine and I'm a little disappointed in the black paint as it appears slightly cloudy in direct light. I was going to purchase the Klasse polish & sealer, but after seeing yours, let me ask, what do you use?

    RE: New Chrome Wheels!

Hi Islander, yes these are the Wheels that where on eBay.**I purchased them outright so that I can keep my original wheels and use them during the winter months here in Massachusetts.**As for cleaning the car.**As stated in an earlier e-mail I am a detailing nut.**What I use are products purchased from AutoGeek.com.**They have a forum and the many professional detailers are very helpful and have given me some wonderful advise.**My process when I first purchased my car was:**Wash, Clayed, Dried, Buffed using a Porter Cable Orbital Buffer.**I used ClearKote Red Moose Glaze which is terrific. Since the car was New I didn't need anything stronger because there where No Scratches or Marring to remove.**Then I applied Pinnacle Souveran Past Was (very expensive) by hand but worth it for me.**This combination gave me that really wet look.**To Top it Off I use FK1 425 Ultra Slick Poly Wipe Spray.**It is a Quick Detailing Product that is the best I have ever used.**It gives my car a Deep Wet Shine and a Very Slick Finish.**No Static Electric build up and the dust doesn't cling.**I only use Micro Fiber Towels so not to cause any marring or spider webbing scratches which can be buffed out. Always wipe or dry your car in straight lines, in the direction of the air flow of the car.**Do Not use circular motions. This will cause the spider and marring in the finish.**Especially with Black.**I agree with you on the Paint with the Azera.**It isn't the deepest Black that I have seen and for me there is just too much Orange Peel in the Paint.**But over all I love this car.**I hope that answers some of your questions and Thanks for the Look.**JoeD

    Joe,

Many thanx for breaking down the steps of your detailing process and for bringing autogeek to my attention. I guess I'll be purchasing a porter cable orbital buffer & some higher quality products this weekend.

Funny you mentioned keeping your original wheels for winter. I am considering 17's or 18's and keeping the 16's (SE wheels) for winter and getting some blitzaks on them. The other item I hope comes to the aftermarket is chrome wheel well mouldings. Like the your chrome wheels show, a little bit of chrome really accentuates black very well.

Once again, many thanx for the detailing tips.

    Warren

I'm sure those wheels look great but I can't see the photos. The url isn't clickable on my screen. Am I doing something wrong?

Stunningly handsome! The wheels are perfect. I wasn't sure how I would feel about a hood ornament but it looks great. Do you plan to add a spoiler?
