Thread: 3.8 Hyundai vs 3.5 Nissan

Both are very powerfull engines. I think 3.8 Azera is little bit stronger because of cubic engine size. Azera's interior looks way better than Nissan's in my opinion. Which one do you think its better overall, Nissan Maxima vs Hyundai Azera?

I don't really know. VQ engine has a good history, while this new azera probably doesn't. It's too early to compare azera yet.

I owned an 04 Maxima before I traded it on the Azera. Both are excellent cars but as far as engines go in the vehicles the Maxima 3.5 seemed to have a little more torque while the Azera 3.8 seemed alot more smooth. As far as off the line 0-60 the Maxima is a little faster but were only talking a few tenths of a second not a big deal. I was not even in the market for a new car and enjoyed my Maxima very much but after driving the Azera I felt the choice was clear and leave the sports car driving to my 350z.

The 3.5l has got the beans, but the Azera seems more refined in the running. Even the 3.8's idle is smoother and quieter than the Nissan's, and that puts a whole different & more refined tone to the car when just driving it 'in town'.

iIHAVE THE LIMITED EDITION WITH THE 17" RIMS AND THIS CAR JUST BLOWS MY MIND ROLLING OFF ON THE LIGHT THEN STEPPING ON IT IT JUST TKES OFF LIKE FROM A FULL STOP/START BURNING RUBBER WHILE ROLLING.
TALK ABOUT TORQUE? i HAVE NOT TIMED IT ON 0 TO 60 BUT THIS CAR FOR ME IS A FACTORY SLEEPER.MY WIFE'S AZERA IS 16" RIMS AND DOES NOT EVEN PULL OUT LIKE THE LIMITED. WONDER WHY? CAN IT BE THE RIMS?

I HATE Carmax. I am declaring this review invalid for that reason.
Here in Columbus they were on the news…they offered someone x dollars for a trade, then said “whoops, that was wrong, we’re giving you thousands less.� Whatta ripoff.
