Thread: After-detail photos...

My $220 detail, done after about 2.5 years, 35,000 miles on my Aubergine 2006 Limited, Premium package...









Not that it was that bad to start with, but the few scuffs (including door speaker scuffs) are gone, the seats look new, dash vents dust-free, even the OEM floor mats (which I soon covered with burgundy mats) look pretty good again. I'll likely have this done every couple of years, from now on...

That looks fantastic. You should of had some before pictures! How long did the detailer have your azera?

It was a bit overcast the day before I dropped it off (guy's business is only 1.5 miles from my house) so I figured "before" photos wouldn't have shown all that much, and there wasn't all that much to show, I keep it pretty clean as it is. I had cleaned the driver's seat twice before, over the last couple of years, just using Armor-All Leather Wipes. He said he never uses Armor-All; I didn't tell him.

The job ran about 6 hours, from drop-off to pick up. I especially like the difference in the feel of the paint. He had me run my hand over the surface before the detailing and I could feel the resistance of the finish. Afterward, it's like swoooshh! I suspect even dust will just fall off for a while.

Also the leather conditioner he used smells like... well, smells like leather...
