    Gas Milage - 2013 Azera

I just filled my new Azera for the 4th time. This tank was all around town and with a generally light foot. My milage was 14.3. This is significantly less than my 2011 Avalon which got 17 around town with the same driving. Am very disappointed. Hopefully after breaking in a little more, only 1000 miles so far, things will improve.

I have 385 miles on my azera and by computer method (in dash reading) it shows 26.5 this is a combo of city and freeway. I burn regular gas with 10% ethanol, and not really easy on pedal.

I just rolled over 2000 miles on my '13 Azera.

My biggest road trip concluded this week - 1000 miles total. Computer read 29.5 going (with ECO engaged) and 30.5 on the return (ECO off).

Same route both ways on relatively flat highway. Speeds about 72-74 on the highway. 10% ethanol gas.

    Very happy with the mileage.

Not sure whether rolling up miles on the engine has contributed to the ever improving mileage, or, what, but was a bit confused that the highway mileage was a mile better with ECO off. Maybe the extra power produced in the ECO off mode makes the engine work more effectively at strictly highway speeds.

I'll do the ECO experiment again, on my next road trip.

I have a 2013 Azera as well. 9000 on it already. I drive a lot of highway and I'm finding I get about 27 to 28 with the Eco turned off.

My 2013 Azzy approaching 1800 mi on the crank shaft. The car really comes alive while driving on highway screaming for speed. But, as soon as speed exceeds over 75 mph, the mileage start dropping faster then my 401k.
However, ethanol free gas sure makes significant improvements in mpgs. I could tell it from my experience. www.rure-gas.org

I just finished a highway trip of 340 miles, used cruise set at 68 MPH for a lot of the time and never went over 70. Filled the tank when I got home and the trip average was 24.3 MPG. After my in town tank only got 14.3 MPG I'm seriously considering dumping this car and going back to Toyota. It's a great car to drive and I like the way it handles but the gas milage sucks. On the exact same trip in my Avalon I got just a hair over 28 MPG and drove at 75 most of the time. Very disappointed in Hyundai.

How many miles do you have on the car?

My 1st trip I got about the same mpg. Car had about 250 miles on it. I had 4 adults in the car, but all highway driving at about 70 mph. ECO on for the whole trip.

Current milage is about 1300 and I did NOT use ECO. I wanted to get a solid base before trying ECO so I could see if it really made any difference. At this rate, about 1 more tank and it's going to be headed for a used car lot.

I'd have a bit more patience. You can buy a lot of gas for the loss you'd likely take on the sale of a "slightly used" car.

I bought the car for mostly highway use, and was hoping to get close to the EPA highway rating. When I bought the car, it had 250 miles on it, driven by the owner of the dealership. Readout said about 21 mpg. My 1st road trip was about 400 miles and I got that up to 24-25.

    Last road trip got 30+.

With my car, seems that the mileage does get better as the odometer spins up the mileage.

Might just drive the car until you hit about 2000 miles and then give it a test. If it is improving, that is a sign that things will likely continue to improve as the components break in.

If no improvement, have the dealer check to make sure everything is operating properly before you consider dumping it for something else.
